Our “Back to School” schedule is nearly completed. Students are excited to meet their classroom teachers and are ready for the new school year. We, too, are ready to start our new goals and concepts of our music education programs. We plan to focus on note and sight reading, music theory and musical practice and improvement. It’s important to have a music home practice schedule set up and followed. A good strategy is to play each assigned piece two or three times and then choose two or three old pieces as a review. This should take ten to twelve minutes, as often as you can fit it into the family schedule.
Because of our teacher’s heavy teaching schedules, we are limiting our rescheduled lessons to one per month, if the teacher has an open time slot with a 24-hour notification. As per your signed contract, rescheduled lessons are a courtesy and given only if a time slot is available. Your monthly tuition pays for your time slot and includes a fifth week lesson with no extra charge. The fifth week lesson can be used as a reschedule or can be banked ahead for a future rescheduled lesson. The teacher might also use the fifth week lesson for a personal reason if necessary.
We look forward to the new teaching year and continue to enjoy each student and each teaching experience. As always, please call the front desk if you have a problem or a request. We will be happy to respond to your request or you may make an appointment to discuss any situation you would like to discuss
