Violin lessons can be started at an early age if the desire is expressed. Usually age 7 and up is a good time to start a string instrument. We use several different series of introduction and technique to instruct our students.
The String Explorer series by Alfred is used for instruction. Students learn to read notes on the staff, proper bowing, fingering techniques, music theory and rhythm accuracy.
